Senior Planner

Senior Major Applications Planner required in the Essex area. Here you will focus on managing and processing a diverse caseload of residential led, mixed use, commercial and change of use applications ranging from complex medium to large scale major and strategic.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a local authority with bold ambitions to increase development and economic growth within the area.

You will liaise and negotiate with several high-profile leading property developers, architects and planning consultants etc.

Senior Planner key duties include;

• Managing and processing a caseload of complex medium, large-scale major and strategic applications.
• Facilitate close liaison with major developers, architects and external consultants through paid pre-application meetings.
• Negotiate complex S106 agreements in conjunction with discharging conditions and finalising reserved matters.
• Draft detailed delegated reports and present at committee

To excel in this Senior Planner role, you will have strong practical experience as a Senior Planner/ Principal Planning Officer at a UK planning authority with experience dealing with major planning applications.
