Your new company
You will be working for a successful fire safety organisation who carry out works in the commercial, leisure and heritage sectors. Due to continued success in the market my client are now seeking a permanent Estimator to join their commercial team in Nottinghamshire.

Your new role
You will be involved with fostering strong relationships with clients and supply chain and negotiating commercially viable rates. You will order materials as requested by the operational team in line with best value, quality, payment terms and service from suppliers. You will also be responsible for the measurement of all tender drawings and the management of all additional surveying documentation requested in relation to project tenders.

Other Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and submit quotations/tenders ensuring that the estimates are built-up based on cost and broken down into Labour / Plant/ Materials / Subcontractors and Preliminaries.
*Offer the client suggestions on alternative passive fire protection methods and/or products.
*Cost planning
*Follow procedures and processes set by the business
*Value engineering.
*Contract administration.
*Interim valuations and payment assessment.
*Complete final accounts.
*Produce monthly cost analyses for the Operations Manager/Managing Director and Accountant.
*Effectively manage and communicate procurement life cycle to the Project Team
*Check, code and sign off invoices, both supply and subcontractors.
*Logistics Management.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in the position you will ideally have joinery estimating experience and have previous passive fire protection experience. The role will be mainly office based but a full UK driving licence is required.
