Interim Commercial Estates Surveyor

The successful candidate will work closely with other officers to provide highly professional and dynamic management of the Council's commercial and voluntary and community sector properties, and high-quality valuations and property related advice.

They'll be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects and programmes and will work with officers from other Services and with external stakeholders in respect of corporate programmes and initiatives including the Estate Regeneration programme.

• Wide range of estate management work in respect of the wider property holdings Market and let vacant units.
• Work closely with officers from Technical Services and with external contractors, to ensure that the commercial properties are well maintained
• Deal with a wide range of landlord and tenant issues
• Provide financial and performance information in respect of the commercial property portfolio
• Work closely with the Senior Surveyor in respect of the management of properties let to Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (VCS)
• Deliver a programme of valuations to meet International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements
• Provide professional advice, guidance including the development and implementation of the Asset Management Plan
• Act as programme manager / lead officer in approximately 1 or 2 key areas
• Procure and manage the performance of contractors to provide professional advice and support in a range of areas
