We now have a requirement for a Group Head of Commercial to drive strategic growth and partnerships across our borough.

Your Role

As the Group Head of Commercial, you will take on a senior, strategic level role offering key advice, support and oversight across our organisation for a wide variety of services and commercial elements.

As the local government landscape evolves, you will provide key insight into the continuing commercial viability of our operations, highlighting areas of improvement and forging key strategic partnerships to drive our growth.

You will provide a high level of expertise and take ownership of a number of commercial areas that we operate in, ensuring fiscal success and service development.

Additionally, this key tactical role will involve:

• Gaining an in-depth understanding of the commercial workings of Watford Borough Council
• Building effective networks and partnerships in and outside of the borough
• Identifying projects, partnerships and initiatives that will improve local services
• Exploring new ways to generate revenue and income

About You

To be considered as the Group Head of Commercial, you will need:

• Experience gained within a senior commercially focused role, ideally within the public sector
• An understanding of local government funding and associated commercial elements
• A degree level qualification (or equivalent)
• Excellent relationship building skills
