Head of Maintenance, Leading Nottinghamshire Housing Association

Your new company
A Nottinghamshire based leading housing association are looking to recruit a Head of Maintenance on an interim basis for a minimum of 6 months. This post has the possibility to go from temp to perm.

Your new role
You will be responsible for leading this housing associations repairs and maintenance service, ensuring a fully engaged workforce is equipped to provide a top performing service to customers.

You will be responsible for the day to day performance of the planned maintenance services, ensuring you achieve all customer and stakeholder expectations. You will also provide financial planning support with budget setting and budget optimisation for repairs, maintenance and services delivered by external sub-contractors.

You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and updating important policies and procedures with regards to planned maintenance services. You will also be required to ensure compliance with legislation and company policy, particularly in relation to health and safety for site work.

You will support the Assistant Director of Construction and Repairs and Maintenance Services management colleagues. You will manage direct reports' performance against financial and service targets whilst creating a positive workforce culture, continually reviewing and developing the teams performance and value for money.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have a HNC/ Degree level qualification or Chartered status in a relevant discipline with a substantial proven history of relevant experience.

You must have the ability to deliver continuous improvement to a diverse community and have experience of financial business modelling in a commercial environment.

You must have a knowledge and understanding of legal framework relating to housing and people management, and will have ideally have a proven track record of senior management experience in a leading high performing repairs management service.

You must posses the qualities to be ambassadorial and approachable to stake holders with a positive, professional attitude to getting things done.
