My client is one of the oldest organisations in the UK who have been around for over 700 years. They occupy an impressive site in the City of London which is a Grade 2* Listed Building and is regularly used for events including Parties, Conferences and Weddings. My client is currently looking to recruit a Hard Services Facilities Manager to join the team and oversee the FM services. The role will be responsible for the smooth running of all planned and reactive M&E maintenance tasks as well as jointly overseeing services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology and other areas where necessary.

You will be tasked with providing an M&E service ensuring effective maintenance programmes are developed to meet statutory requirements, minimise risk and provide a safe and comfortable environment. You will also plan and organise engineering services shut downs for maintenance or new works as well as jointly overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments. You will also be responsible for managing budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness of all services.

We are looking for an experienced Hard Services Facilities Manager with proven post qualification experience in Electrical/Mechanical/Building services maintenance. You will have some experience of managing soft services and a detailed understanding of Statutory/Mandatory maintenance regulations. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of Listed Buildings, experience of Control of Legionella, Testing & Inspection and Gas safe systems. You will need to have excellent communication and influencing skills, strong negotiation skills, attention to detail with the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture, strong organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex & varied workload.
