Due to the strategic growth of the flood risk team, they are now looking to appoint a Flood Risk Consultant to join the Bristol team in their Bristol Headquarters.

Your new role
The role requires direct contact with clients and regulators and management of varied and challenging projects within this growing division of your new company's multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. You will have experience of undertaking flood risk assessments in accordance with NPPF (and/or TAN 15) and technical knowledge and experience of hydrological and hydraulic modelling (e.g. HEC-RAS, Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW). An understanding of the developer industry would be advantageous.

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess a good understanding of the workings of the Environment Agency (and Natural Resources Wales) and Lead Local Flood Authorities as well as up to date knowledge of current planning policies and procedures and how these can be utilised to maximise the level of service offered to your new company's clients whilst gaining required approvals. Ideally, you will have a first degree (or equivalent) in an engineering or physical science and possibly a higher degree in a water subject combined with a good level of consultancy / industry experience.
