Senior Project Manager

Capable and experienced Construction Project Manager required, Devon site

One of the UK's leading house-building and construction groups have an urgent requirement for a skilled Project Manager to lead the line in delivering a multimillion pound public sector project on the outskirts of Exeter. An FTSE 250 listed UK business, their focus is on building long-term relationships with customers, supply chains and local communities.

Your new role

As the Project Manager, you will establish and maintain commercial and financial control systems, procedures and standards which will meet the contractual requirements of the project. In addition to this, you will ensuring that key dates, resource requirements, production rates, overhead targets etc, are established, monitored and controlled, as well as, agree programmes and methods of construction with planners and other appropriate production personnel.
You will also be responsible for marshalling of resources for the overall control and execution of the works including the selection of sub-contractors to carry out packages, as well as manage and maintain the highest standards of safety, contributing to the value engineering and build-ability of the project.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally you will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have experience of working for a main contractor in a similar role, hold a current first aid certification, SMSTS, appropriate CSCS with a professional qualification - HNC, ONC or equivalent and hold a security clearance. You will ideally have experience of working within the Construction industry, specifically on design and build, commercial and high-rise/multi-storey projects, also, a proven track of success of delivering multi-million-pound projects.
