A leading not for profit care provider are have an exciting opportunity for an Interim Head of Commercial and Contracts.

Your new role
The main objective of this role is to support the Deputy Chief Executive in the delivery of the Commercial and Procurement strategies. This shall primarily include developing procurement strategies for the client's key spend areas; ensuring they obtain value for money through active contract management and managing day to procurement business activity. The role will also help shape the function of procurement within the company building upon spend intelligence and advising key stakeholders on implementation of appropriate staffing structures.


What you'll need to succeed

• Significant experience leading a procurement/commercial function over a diverse portfolio of goods, works and services
• Significant experience working in a legal/commercial and contract management role.
• Good drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail
• A good understanding of contract law and its application (in relation to commercial contracts)
• The ability to manage and interpret contracts and legislation
• The ability to support the resolution of complex contract disputes
• Experience of structuring, negotiating and managing supplier contracts
• The ability to provide commercial advice at all stages of the contract process
• Experience of financially evaluating proposals and investment appraisal techniques

This is a long term interim role paying up to £475 per day for the right candidate.
