Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer - Private Sector - Ongoing - £30 to £35 p/h - Northamptonshire
Hays Building Services, Leicester are seeking a Freelance Mechanical Design Engineer to support a Mechanical contractor specialising in commercial and residential plumbing services across a variety of sector including; Commercial, Domestic and Public Sector.
Your new role
Projects will range from design work on new builds and refurbishments to acquisition surveys, feasibility studies, project management, life cycle engineering and value engineering. To be considered for this role you will have a proven record of holding a similar role having worked within similar sectors for either a consultancy or contractor.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of leading the mechanical engineering designs (HVAC) for significant / innovative projects across varying sectors. Experience of sustainable and low energy design buildings with the ability to use computer aided design packages is highly desirable. CEng status (IET or CIBSE) is desirable but not essential. The client does not have a preference as to whether the successful candidate is from a consultancy background or a contracting background so long as they have a wealth of experience within the mechanical design field.
