Strategic Asset Manager - Interim role - Long Term - Inside IR35 - Public Sector - up to £450 per day -

Your new company
This is a well-established public sector organisation based in Central london
Their offices are located near local trains and bus stops, making this a very easy location to reach.
The Asset Management team are now looking for an experienced Asset Manager, on a 3 month rolling contract, with also the possibility to become permanent.
You will be working very closely with the Head of Asset Management and the rest of the team.

Your new role
* To support and assist the Head of Asset Management with the development and implementation of the council's asset management plan, property strategy and capital strategy.
* To ensure value for money and high performance from property assets through the effective and efficient direction and utilisation of assets and through robust reporting on property performance.
* To manage the council's asset management planning process and to ensure that it is embedded as a corporate or whole organisation activity, as is part of the business planning process.

This role has a management responsibility for the organisation operational property portfolio (c110 sites) worth £610 million with an annual running cost liability of c£17m. There is also cross over with the investment portfolio (managed by a different team) which produces c£15m per annum in income and a feed into the Capital Programme with project currently totalling £200m.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will need:

* Property related degree or significant (10 years +) demonstrable relevant experience in a Corporate Property Environment.
* Significant experience in Strategic Property Asset Management.
* Significant experience in working within a Corporate Real Estate environment and balancing the need to secure efficiency savings and rationalise the estate against the continuing call on property from within the business.
* Experience in developing an asset programme and monitoring and reporting on the performance of property portfolios
* A good knowledge of issues relating to property development, property investment, planning and valuations and appraisals.
