Contracts Manager

Your new company

I am currently working with a volume residential house builder who is looking to expand their operations team within the West Midlands, Founded over 30 years ago, my client builds over 15,000 beautifully designed new build homes a year throughout 400 prime locations in the UK. Considered as one of the most successful house builders in the UK, my client is committed to the highest standards of design, construction and service that they offer to the clientele they deal with on a day to day basis.

Your new role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Planning projects and ensuring they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays
• Ensure procurement and reconciliation of materials is carried out in accordance with company procedures
• Ensure site team compliance with company commercial policies
• Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts
• Ensure timely management of both temporary and permanent design to meet the requirements of each project
• Review the CVR's monthly with the project teams, implementing necessary actions
• Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions

What you'll need to succeed

In order for you to succeed, it is essential the candidate represents the following competencies:

• Extensive experience of managing projects with a volume residential environment
• Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations and design management
• Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor
• SMSTS
• CSCS Black Card
• First Aid
• Asbestos Awareness
• Scaffold Appreciation

What you'll get in return

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £65,000 - £75,000 dependent on experience. Alongside this, my client is offering a generous package which includes Car Allowance / Company Car, pension contribution, private medical health and holiday entitlement.
