The opportunity

Are you an experienced surveyor with experience of the retail sector?

Do you have strong negotiation skills and a good understanding of commercial property regulations and laws?

If so, we want to hear from you!

About the role

As Estates Surveyor you’ll take on a variety of key roles within the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Estates department.

You’ll also be charged with negotiating retail rent reviews across our 750 strong retail portfolio.

About you

A qualified chartered surveyor (or with extensive experience), you’ll have good knowledge of the 1954 Landlord and Tenant Act, along with a good understanding of the methods of evaluation.

You’ll also need to have:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to develop excellent working relationships with key internal and external colleagues and contacts
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Good organisational skills, able to manage workload and ensure key deadlines are met
  • Proven negotiating skills

About us

Heart and circulatory diseases kill 1 in 4 people in the UK. They cause heartbreak on every street. But if we can invent machines to restart hearts, fix arteries in newborn babies, build tiny devices to correct heartbeats, and if we can give someone a heart they weren’t born with - imagine what’s next.
