Project Director

Want to work for one of London’s leading Developers?

Notting Hill Genesis is one of London’s leading housing associations, and we have an ambitious programme to build 2,000 homes a year. We currently have 6,000 homes on site and a strong pipeline with a range of exciting projects that will deliver high quality homes and communities.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Project Director to join our team of high performing development professionals to deliver an exciting portfolio of residential led projects across London. You’ll be personally committed to delivering a top quality product and service, and be able to demonstrate your experience and commercial awareness of running large, multi phased mixed use development projects with multiple stakeholders.

Working on Joint Venture projects in excess of £150m construction value, you’ll take a hands-on approach through planning, procurement and on-site delivery.  You’ll be joining an expert team, where NHG often act as the Development Manager for our JV partners.  In this capacity you’ll be accountable to the JV Board, ensuring that the business plan is delivered and that we produce high quality places for people to live.

This is a challenging and rewarding role. You will have accountability for all aspects of project delivery, and you will be trusted to manage project teams delivering complex development projects within cost, time and quality performance targets. You will use your experience to secure planning permission, negotiate build contracts, and manage homes to successful completion.  You’ll identify and manage risks and present reports to internal and external scrutiny committees.

As a confident communicator, you’ll enjoy working with and motivating people. You’ll negotiate with developers, consultants and contractors and build relationships with colleagues and partners. Experience of delivering large complex projects (ideally in Joint Ventures) will be essential to this role.

In return we offer a highly competitive salary, generous annual leave, health cash plan, season ticket loan, life assurance and a generous contributory pension offer as well as other benefits packages.

In line with our integration policy, if an internal NHG redeployee applies for this role, their application will be considered before any others. In the event that this happens, we will let other candidates know. If you are a redeployee, please let us know that you have submitted an application by emailing IntegrationHR@nhg.org.uk.

Closing date for applications is midday on Monday, 9 September 2019. Interviews will be w/c 16 September. We may review your application and invite you to attend interview before the stated closing and interview dates.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete online ability tests before interviews.

For an informal conversation about the role, in the first instance please contact Chris Hopkins (HR Business Partner) on 07736 481390 or Ade Odunsi (HR Advisor) on 07593130199.
