Your new company
Your new organisation is a thriving Guildford based landowner with a commercially driven property department, including a property development arm responsible for delivering a variety of new build projects in the across the borough.


Your new role
Your new role will involve assisting the organisation's New Build Development Manager with their residential development programme. You will play be responsible for Managing a range of projects spanning single unit builds to blocks taking sole responsibility of any given project.

Specific duties will include programming, procurement, management of consultants, site visits and reports, ensuring that work is satisfactorily completed within an agreed time-frame budget and service standards.

You will be involved in projects from an early stage, often as early as acquiring initial planning for construction, and there will some involvement in site identification when assisting the Development Manager with their role.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to be detail oriented, taking an extremely thorough approach to each stage of individual projects such as ensuring all building regulations have been met and quality control has been maintained to the required standard.

You will have strong time management and organisational skills ensuring that projects run in a timely manner.

You will need a Bachelors degree level (or equivalent) qualification in Building Surveying or Construction Project Management, and will have recent and transferable experience working on new build projects.

You will need a strong knowledge of building regulations, planning application procedures and legislation, CDM, and JCT Contracts.

You will have strong knowledge of building defects and construction process.

You will also need a full UK driver's license or valid equivalent.


What you'll get in return
You will receive a minimum annual salary of up to £46K (including an annual salary review) as £100 per month car allowance.

You will be able to take advantage of the organisation's flexi-time policy, which will allow you to accrue holiday in lieu up to 22.5 hours per quarter, and the role will enable you to work flexibly, as the organisation's core hours are 10am - 4pm.

Your new role will also include the option to work one day a week from home. You will receive an attractive pension plan with an employer contribution of 8% (approx £3700) Per Annum

Your place of work is a sleek, stylish and recently upgraded office in the heart of Guildford, just a 5 minute walk from the station, and a short drive from the A3.

You will become part of a commercially savvy Property team with decades of private and public sector experience between them.
