Senior Quantity Surveyor

Permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor role, Derbyshire, Main Contractor, Award Winning organisation - up to £60k

Your new company
you will be working for an established and highly successful main contractor who are based in the East Midlands. The organisation have works nationally but also have an excellent market position in the region. Projects range in sector but include; Student accommodation, Industrial/ Distribution, Education, Leisure, Healthcare and Mixed use developments. Due to continued success in the market my client are seeking an Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their ranks on a permanent basis.


Your new role
You will be working as part of the Commercial department who work on multi sector projects. You will report into the Commercial Manager. The role will include managing a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account. You will also compiling budgets and complete cost reports.
The role will require strong commercial acumen and you will be able to be minimise risk, cost and maximise value by cost checking and analysis of labour, plant and materials.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in the role you will have experience of working as a Senior or Project level Quantity Surveyor for a Main contractor on multi million pound schemes. You will have a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to work to strict deadlines. It would also be advantageous to hold an industry specific academic qualification such as a Masters, Degree or HND.
