My client are a successful and well renowned East Midlands based contractor who have a strong regional presence across multiple sectors. The organisation have completed projects in Residential, Heritage, Higher Education and Commercial sectors. Due to expansion within the commercial team the company are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their ranks on a permanent basis.


Your new role
You will be reporting into the commercial manager in the Nottinghamshire office. You will be working alongside more senior members of the commercial team who will be able to provide guidance structure to your development. However you will have autonomy within the role focusing on; Managing variation, Insuring contractual obligations, Preparing and undertaking cost analysis.

You will have awareness, understanding and working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Building and Civil Engineering industry, including experience of the JCT + NEC standard suite of Contracts

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will have at least 2 years of practical hands on Quantity Surveying Experience within the Construction industry. Ideally you will have worked in the Residential sector and have an appreciation of basic groundwork's such as; foundations, site stripping and then external packages. You will be a driven and passionate individual who is capable of learning.


What you'll get in return
