We are looking for an ambitious technical manager from a practical surveying and engineering background, looking for an interesting and rewarding new challenge.

We care for the war dead of our six Member nations across more than 150 countries and territories worldwide.  We have 1,400 dedicated staff around the globe who love what they do and help us engage the public with our mission. Our values and aims laid out in 1917 are as relevant now as they were over 100 years ago.

As a key member of our Area’s Operations team, you will be overseeing all technical matters, advising on internal structural projects and managing overseas works staff. You will also ensure cohesion with Corporate strategy, policies and procedures, along with other Area requirements.

We would like you to have experience in the following areas:

  • direct project management (end to end - all phases)
  • managing tendering processes for £50K - £300K range projects
  • change and management performance at operational level
  • proven experience working in a supervisory position
  • researching and compiling business case documents in support of project approval and bids for approved funding

Ideally you will also have the following:

  • experience travelling to remote locations, including lone working experience working in different cultures, with understanding of cultural and political sensitivities and operations in complex environments
