Town Planner Vacancy in Glasgow

Our client is a successful and established practice in the city centre of Glasgow, and they are currently searching for an ambitious and talented Town Planner to join their illustrious team of planning professionals. This firm specialises in high-profile developments across the UK. Covering residential developments with a range of developer clients, Hotels, business parks, commercial office developments, health centres and more.

The ideal Senior Town Planner should hold the following experience:

• An RTPI or equivalent qualification
• experience within a private consultancy or local authority
• A sound knowledge of the local Scottish market
• have client facing experience
• be able to work with minimal supervision

The role will include the following duties:

• Liaising and negotiating with planning officers, architects, consultants, third parties.
• Responsibility for preparing planning appraisals for each new potential acquisition.
• Undertaking research and analysis in preparing due diligence for potential acquisition sites including but not limited to planning policy and planning history including on neighbouring sites.
• Investing in the development of a range of sites and projects and assessing sites for development suitability.
