Your new role

You will be a Buyer for the busy Aberdeen office, and will be responsible for the procurement and purchase of materials. This role will serve their growing portfolio of new developments throughout the area. Responsibilities of this role will include; Compliance in line with company procedures, produce price deals for necessary materials to serve all active and planned developments. You will work in conjunction with the Construction and Commercial Directors as well as site staff and commercial teams. You will be computer literate to a high standard and will work to build on upon and improve on the current purchasing system. You will ensure all aspects of the administrative processes are in order and completed accurately.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous buying experience, excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively communicate and deal with internal and external stakeholders. You will have excellent computer skills and will be able to maintain accurate records. You will be attentive when it comes to detail and you will have worked within the construction industry previously as you will need to be able to take off material quantities and specifications from working drawings.
