Hays are working in partnership with a global multi-disciplinary construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Cost Consultant to be based in their Belfast office. This vacancy is a direct result of growth within their Infrastructure sector and therefore candidates must have civils experience.

Your new role
As Senior Cost Consultant, you will be part of an exciting new team who will assist in the successful management and delivery of various capital projects across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and the wider global business. The role will cover the whole project life cycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation is essential along with the experience of delivering technically complex projects in the sectors highlighted above from inception to completion. Cost Management experience in the water sector would be preferred and you must have a good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key and you should possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff.

Minimum Requirements : Good understanding of NEC contracts / Clean driving licence and car ownership.

Preferred Qualifications : Chartered status / Degree status / Professionally Qualified / 10 years post qualification experience.
