Senior Surveyor (Maintenance) Opportunity, Social Housing, South Wales, £20.50 per hour, immediate start.


Your new organisation
Your new organisation are a Social Housing Landlord based in South Wales who are recruiting for a Senior Surveyor within their Property Maintenance department.

Your new role
You will manage staff in providing effective repairs, maintenance and technical services and to ensure effective maintenance and management of all the property assets including tenanted properties, empty properties and own assets. This will include management of resources, quality standards and performance including;

Undertake technical and specialist construction survey work to tenanted and empty properties to include the provision of detailed works specifications, prioritising works and assist in the planning process.

Co-ordinate the installation of adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grant works to the assets, liaising with tenants, social services, contractors on-site quality control and budget monitoring.

Develop good working relationships with all sub-contractors and partnering organisation relating to empty properties and gas servicing/repair to ensure well maintained properties

Prepare work schedules and specifications including the preparation of individual reports on properties as required

Ensure that the work within the property services section is managed and delivered in an effective and efficient way and meets high levels of customer service standards.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a HND/HNC in construction or substantial relevant experience
Working towards a professional qualification e.g CIOB, RICS
Demonstrate experience of budget and resource planning and monitoring
Knowledge of legislation and best practice regarding housing or property services
Experienced in social housing environment
Good customer service skills
Full driving license
