We're pleased to be working an award winning multi-disciplined consultancy in Cambridge that are looking to add an Employers Agent to their growing office. The organisation offers a range of professional services covering; chartered building & quantity surveying, project management, architecture & master planning, civil & structural engineering, mechanical & electrical engineering, sustainability and health & safety. The small yet expanding team value innovative ways of working and are always looking for fresh ideas to expand their client base.

Your new role
As an Employers Agent you will be working predominantly on new build residential (and often mixed use) projects with values ranging from £2m up to £50m in value. On a day to day basis you will be preparing robust and accurate tender and contract packages as well as recording, document and instruct necessary actions as required for the delivery of these contracts.

As the Employers Agent you will be able to identify, manage and mitigate risks, and will deliver new build housing (and in some case mixed-use) developments under the terms of JCT D&B Contracts or bespoke Development Agreements. Knowledge of Building Control regulations, funding and process will be an advantage. You'll be passionate about construction and will responsible for working on various stages of projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget and to the highest quality. Experience of managing party wall matters will be advantageous.

What you'll need to succeed
As the Employers Agent you may be at any stage in your career though will be degree educated (or equivalent) and will be RICS qualified. You will be passionate about construction and come from either a Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or Project Management background. You'll be able demonstrate experience of working as an Employers Agent under a JCT, D&B or similar contract. You will ideally have two years' experience of Party Wall Matters and have knowledge of Building Control regulations.
