Lead Site Engineer - Main Contractor

Leading privately owned main contractor seeks experienced site engineer to join their team on exciting project

Your new company
Leading privately owned contractor who work across the country have just won a large building project in Edinburgh. This project is within the educational space and is due to commence over the next few weeks. They are seeing to employ a full time lead site engineer to join their team and assist the site manager and project manager to deliver this project over the next 18 months.


Your new role
As lead site engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the project is built in line with project designs and according to relevant quality and safety standards. From managing the setting out process ( with a junior site engineer) to assisting the project manager with design coordination and management you will play a key role in the delivery of the project. What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years post grad experience as a site engineer with strong knowledge across all building and civil packages. Our client self delivers some of the key packages on the project ( civils etc) and will require their people to take responsibility for their delivery so direct knowledge of key packages is essential. Strong communication skills and technical construction knowledge will be essential along with demonstrated experience of working on successful building projects previously.
