Your new company
A Long Established, Well respected SE London based Contractor now seek an ambitious Assistant CM to join the team. Operating in the Central London and Greater South Eastern area they take on a variety of projects including School Extensions, Private Residential schemes, Office fit-outs, Commercial refurbishments and large scale conversions. Projects are typically in the 500k - £7 mill range with 10 projects currently on site. With several new larger projects secured in an already busy period the decision has been made to expand the team.

Your new role
As Assistant contracts manager you will be working in a team of 4 reporting to a Senior contracts manager, with support you will be overseeing 3-4 job depending on size. You will work closely with the Surveying, technical and site based teams to ensure the projects are running safely and to programme. You will be mentored and given training over the short and medium term to build you up to a full Contracts manager level.

What you'll need to succeed
This is a key role within the management team as it will help shape the future of the department - You will need come from an academic or trade background and have experience with a main contractor within a technical role whether Site manager, QS, Project manager or other. You will need a good technical knowledge and be comfortable with the basics of programming and critically analysing drawings. Location wise you will need to be comfortable travelling to the office in Greater Bromley and also commuting into London regularly for site visits and client meetings. Above all else you will have the desire and enthusiasm to want to commit to to the role for the medium to long term.
