Your new company
Your new company is an independent firm of Building & Construction Consultants, with industry leading expertise in Surveying, Architecture and Project Management. This company have shown consistent growth in recent years, and have secured substantial contracts with key clients paving way for the development of their Surrey office.
Due to this sustained success, the business are looking to hire a Senior Building Surveyor to focus on key public sector and local authority clients across Surrey and West London.
Your new role
Your new role will be based at the company's Walton on Thames office in Surrey. You will be part of a dedicated public sector team predominantly focusing on social housing, responsible for managing technical work and projects and reporting directly to the Senior Manager.
Key elements of this role are liaising with clients in respect of technical matters providing regular communication and advising on technical matters for projects under your supervision.
You will also be responsible for the following: Collaborating with in house professionals such as architects, designers and Project Managers when required.
Programming own work and resources available to ensure satisfactory completion of all projects. You will be the primary point of contact for specific clients, under instruction from your Line Manager.
Preparing and submitting applications for statutory consent and liaising with relevant authorities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a proven track record of working independently in a building surveying role, and possess the ability to perform a full range of professional services such as structural surveys and acquisition inspections of buildings; defect analysis, writing specifications, contract administration, and project management.
You will need to be familiar with submitting applications for statutory consent, communicating with governing bodies and authorities to achieve this.
You will also need:
Strong experience Public-Sector Housing.
Up to date contracts knowledge Good presentation, communication, & report writing skills.
The ability to work in a team environment and be able to lead on specific projects as required.
A full UK driver's License will be necessary for the role as you will be expected to travel to meet clients and carry out surveys on site when required
