To help deliver this ambition the Estates team need to recruit Space Planner.


Your New Role
You will be reporting to the Head of Projects to determine and implement strategies for the effective delivery of space management services throughout the University. You will provide and manage systems and procedures for the efficient utilisation of space. In consultation with University Schools/Services Management Teams, you will develop and implement departmental space plans to contribute to the overall University Estates Strategy.

The role holder will be required to travel between university sites (Stafford, Lichfield and Shrewsbury) on occasions, however the position will predominantly be based at the Stoke campus.


Experienced Required
You will have proven experience in space management and space planning with a degree in Facilities Management or an equivalent qualification (desirable). You will have experience of managing space utilisation surveys and audits and developing and implementing space standards. Experience of operating a Space Management database is essential.

You will have a strong analytical ability to critically interrogate information and present solutions to prioritise complex and often conflicting project demands. You will also have excellent communication skill and be able communicate complex information to a range of audiences and stakeholders effectively using a variety of mediums. Finally, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the University's strategic plan and a commitment to the University values.
