Business Development Manager

A Business Development Manager job in Lancashire paying £35,000 + package for a construction sub-contractor.

Your new company
You will join a specialist construction company who is looking to make the appointment of a Business Development Manager due to growth within their organisation. As a company they work alongside a strong client base across the UK and have developed a great business model over the years. They are looking to strengthen their team and will continue moving the business forward and they feel a Business Development Manager will allow them to work for efficiently.

Your new role
You will report to their contracts director and will be responsible for delivering new sales within the market and maintaining relationships with existing clients. You will be responsible for achieving agreed sales targets, control costs and effectively manage budgets. You will develop strategic opportunities utilising high value sales techniques. You will be based from their head office in Lancashire and will attended meetings across the UK with new and existing clients. You will initially work alongside the directors to gain a better understanding of the business and how they operate, once you have a clear understanding of the business you will be given full autonomy.

What you'll need to succeed
You will currently be working as a Business Development Manager preferably within the construction sector. You will have the ability to communicate and influence effectively to develop and maintain customer relationships. You will have a thorough knowledge of business development and creating negotiated framework and bid opportunities. You will be ambitious and capable of developing further within the department and ultimately the organisation. You must be a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function. They would be keen to look at a business development manager who is at the early stages of their career and is eager to progress OR an experienced BDM who can bring clients on board.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a basic salary of £35,000 - £45,000 + car / car allowance + bonus scheme + package. You will receive support from the directors and work for an established organisation with excellent future prospects.
