Your new company is an industry leader in Social Housing & Public Sector construction projects. With over 40 years of quality service provision, this group of construction consultants have made a name for themselves across Greater London.

With business demand consistently growing, and track record adding to their reputation, the business are looking to take on new staff including a Clerk of Works to ensure build quality and standards on current and future new build projects.


Your new role

Reporting directly to the Principle Employer's Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance on multiple projects across the business.

You will be responsible for carrying out technical inspections throughout construction projects, highlighting potential quality issues. This will range from inspecting initial contract drawings, specifications & written instructions, to regular site inspections, documenting completed works, reporting on quality level, and signing off where compliant and to standard.

You will monitor on-site progress and Review site reports issued by Building Control, Warranty Providers, Health and Safety Advisors, and any other relevant consultants.

You will take the lead on snagging / de-snagging inspections.Assist in undertaking End of Defect inspections / reports.


What you'll need to succeed

You will need a minimum of 2 years practical experience in the construction industry at Site Management level or as Clerk of Works, either working for Consultants, Local Authorities or Housing Associations.

You will preferably be a full Member of the Institute of Clerk of Works, and will need to hold a Building Construction related qualification such as an HND, PG Dip or Bachelors degree.

You will need to be IT Competent (Microsoft Office - Word and Excel).


What you'll get in return

In return for your work you will receive a competitive salary currently bench-marked at £40-45K, with a £3K car allowance in addition.

You will be enrolled onto a company pension (4% employee & 4% employer contribution). Your business mileage will also be covered at 21p per mile.

You will receive 28 days holiday per annum (+ 8 bank holidays) with 3 of these days taken over the Christmas period.

You will also benefit from being part of an established Building Consultancy with a strong structure in place, which receives significant support and backing from a global parent company, which is contributing to the current expansion in business growth.
