Building Surveyor - Consultancy - Shropshire

This consultancy is one of the leading firms of Chartered Surveyors in their Niche sector. They are seeking to recruit an additional (ideally) MRICS Chartered Surveyor, to join their Building Surveying department. Applicants must have a broad range of surveying experience including proficiency in professional surveys and dilapidations. Similarly an interest in and knowledge of traditional/rural construction methods as well as historic and Listed buildings, sustainability and renewable energies is also required. Project involvement ranges from inception right through to final handover. An up to date knowledge of Building Regulations, H&S and other statutory requirements is essential as is proficiency in using AutoCAD. Also applicants must be able to create detailed/working drawings, write specifications, produce tender documents and handle contract administration. This post sits within a small team in an established office, and responsibility will be given for your own instructions from the outset and assisting with the continued growth of the team in due course. The successful candidate will work on a variety of national and private clients involving a range of interesting and challenging projects from professional surveys through to maintenance, repair, alteration, refurbishment and conversion, through to new build/development schemes.
