Chartered Building Surveyor for South West London Practice, Building Surveys, Homebuyers, Valuations, £50K PA

Your new company

Your new company are a traditional Building Surveying Consultancy based in South West London.

They have built their company on the Quality of their work, the level of service they provide, and the clarity of communication they provide to their clients.

They value quality over quantity every time and have seen consistent success following this mantra.

The business provide services to private banks and lenders within the M25, with 12 surveyors undertaking building surveys, Homebuyer reports and valuations within their own specific remit.

Your new company don't accept any panel management work and therefore receive all fees for services provided, which are then split at 65:35 between business and surveyor respectively.


Your new role

Your new role is to carry out building surveys, Homebuyer reports and valuations within an agreed upon geographical area.

You will work from home (or from the Wimbledon office if preferable) receiving instructions by post. You will dictate your survey notes and send them digitally to the admin team to type up.

Your report will be typed up and returned to you in order for you to proof read, add photos where required, and resubmit.

The business employs 20 support staff to assist their surveying team in every way, and therefore you won't need to undertake any typing, or carry out any admin at all.


What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need a RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying, and will need to be a full member of the RICS.

You will need to be able to carry out building surveys, homebuyer reports or valuations to a high quality, taking notes and dictating your survey back for the admin team to type up.

You will need to be able to work efficiently, with turnarounds on surveys expected to be approx 24 hours.

You will be expected to carry out a minimum of one Surveyor or two valuations on any given day, on properties ranging from approx £400K to £5m.


What you'll get in return

You will receive an annual salary of £50K per annum, and receive 35% of any survey that you carry out.

You will receive support from 20 strong admin team so you can focus solely on surveying and billable work.

As with other surveyors who have joined the business in the last 3 years, you will receive the opportunity to progress from Senior Surveyor to Associate Director with the right application.
