Quantity Surveyor job in Reading - Fantastic opportunity to work on a prestigious project
Your new companyYou will be working for one of the UK's leading specialist facade contractors. Their projects vary from Developers, Retailers, Investors, Local Authorities & private clients across the UK
They design and install bespoke facade systems across a range of different projects and a variety of sectors, including education, retail, industrial & commercial, and residential.
Your new role
You will be responsible for 1 site in the Reading Area and will fulfil the following duties:
- Contractual Negotiations
- Price / Forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
- Track changes to the design and construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly
- Pay subcontractors
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need:
- A proven track record within the construction sector, underpinned by first-class client-facing skills and a detail-conscious, accurate approach.
- Degree level educated
- Proficient in MS Programs
- Track record of works
- Minimum of 4 years experience within a Quantity Surveying position.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of between £40,000 - £45,000 and a very generous package which includes a pension, 25 days holiday and Medical Cover.
