Clerk of Works (Building)- London - £55,000


Our client a top 10 UK contractor with a need for a Clerk of Works to monitor and oversee quality and compliance ensuring project delivery to specification. Based from the central London office in with a focus on a key projects in London.
You will have a background as an Engineer or Site manager having delivered build projects and be familiar with different elements in construction including RC Frame, envelopes, internal trades, roofing and external works.

You will be:
Ensuring works are carried out to the client`s standards, specification, correct materials, workmanship and schedule.
Familiar with legal requirements BS, relevant drawings, instructions, SDA, checking them and using them as a reference when inspecting work.
Carrying out visual inspections for quality and recording non compliance.
Taking measurements and samples on site to make sure that the work and the materials meet the specifications and quality standards.
Taking random site measurements to confirm installed services have been installed in accordance with the coordinated drawings.
Having a working knowledge of health and safety legislation and bringing any shortfalls observed to the attention of the site team.
Being part of the building sign off, sectional and complete.
Producing weekly reports.

You will have:
A construction qualification (Degree/HNC/HND) or equivalent and significant relevant experience.
Good understanding of CDM -Familiar with word and excel Ideally Member ICWCI / ICW
