Setting Out Engineer Required

I am recruiting on behalf of a close client of mine who is fast establishing themselves in the current market. Outstanding retention of staff and have won so many tenders for new projects across the UK. Recently been doing more projects in Dorset, and they specialise in commercial projects such as accommodation, refurbs, conversions, warehouses etc. They now have a need for a setting out engineer to join their growing team on a temp basis for approx 6 months. This will be covering 2x sites in Dorset region.


You will be required to go through all plans and drawings and set out as instructed. You will be working between 2x sites Monday- Friday 8.30am-5pm. You will be doing foundations, pilings and all types of setting out works. You will need to ensure everything is running smoothly and is on track for the progress of the project to be on course.


You must have extensive knowledge in setting out engineering and be willing to travel between 2x sites. Must have knowledge of Autocad, trimble, Leica and using certain programmers to ascertain what needs to be set out. Laser setting out is good but not essential, and ideally candidate must have own equipment. It is not essential, but you may be required to rent out equipment in order to carry out works. Must have relevant qualifications and in date first aid and CSCS qualifications.


You will be working on a temp contract for 6 months with a negotiable day rate between £320-£350 a day depending on experience and equipment needed. Great client to work for and some interesting sites to help get started. They are looking for early April start so want interest in early to not delay the process.
