Assistant Site Manager - Permanent Contract
Location: Milton Keynes Area
Salary Guide: c. £38,000 + Benefits

Reporting to: Site Manager

Overview:
To assist the Site Manager in managing work on-site, ensuring targets are met regarding health and safety, build delivery, quality, customer care and cost.
Duties & responsibilities will involve:

  • Support the Site Manager in co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme
  • To be able to identify and react to SHE issues on site, reporting these to the Site Manager and to have put actions in place
  • To recognise good and bad quality and report issues to the Site Manager. Identify root causes where standards are not being met so action can be taken
  • To attend NHBC key stage inspections
  • Working with sales through regular sales/build meetings to ensure a smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers and that show homes are maintained to a high standard
  • To work with the site manager to deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times
  • To coordinate contractors on site in conjunction with the site management team
  • Accept responsibility for such duties as determined by the Site Manager, in particular, as and when required, to deputise for the Site Manager
  • Delivering excellent customer care to all customers in line with company guidelines and standards
  • Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work and professionalism.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Experience of working to build programmes and managing priorities on site
  • Assertive and communicative in order to achieve weekly targets through good organisation of the labour force and promoting a team working ethic
  • Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to solve or manage a problem or issue
  • A member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level in Construction Management or a time served tradesman with considerable experience of the full range of construction trades
  • Good knowledge of all common aspects of house building and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. health and safety standards, NHBC requirements and the Building Regulations
  • Has understanding and experience of dealing with customers and potential customers in all aspects, such as the giving of information and advice, resolving any customer issues, confirming company procedures etc.
