Site Supervisor Required in HMP Dartmoor 37.5 hours Monday - Friday Maintenance Bias Office Based Role

Purpose of role: To Supervise a team of tradesmen / escorts and semi-skilled staff to ensure a cost effective service delivery is maintained and full statutory and mandatory compliance is adhered to. To act as an interface between the team and the client and to report issues arising to Line Manager.

Your main duties will include:

• Responsible for the service delivery of the team
• Inputting data and information on CAFM system
• Organising planned maintenance visits
• Assist with the recruitment and supervision of staff
• Proactive reporting of all Health and Safety issues
• To manage the issue and upkeep of PPE to the team.
• To ensure that the team are appropriately dressed at all times whilst on duty.
• To manage stock levels and equipment
• To conduct job chats with the operative team to identify training requirements.
• Liaise with the client to ensure customer satisfaction with the service provide
• Possibility of being on call
• Experience with HSE, Asbestos, Fire and Water Regs.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have some supervisory experience and be ready to move into that position full-time. You do not necessarily have to have worked within a prison environment but any previous experience working within a secure establishment such as MOD or NHS would be beneficial.

Security Clearance required: All applicants will be subject to the HM Prison Service security clearance procedure, this will include a DBS check. You must hold a valid passport or birth certificate & photo driving licence in your current address. All applicants must be able to provide details of 2 satisfactory references, at least one from an ex-employer.
