Support Worker required for a young people's project in Bristol for a short term contract
Your new company
You will be joining a local housing association in Bristol who supports a wide range services users. You will be joining an organisation who engages and supports their service users and promotes independence in the local community.
Your new role
You will be working as young people's support worker on a short term contract in Bristol. As a support worker you will be supporting young people aged 16-25 years old who have various complex needs including mental health, domestic violence and homelessness. As a support worker you will be carrying out one to one support plans, casework and advocating independence, aiding service users to move on from the project. Through your support plans you will be providing advice on benefits, welfare and tenancy management, promoting independent living. As a support worker you will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful support worker it is essential you have working experience within supported housing or with complex needs. Experience working with young people would be advantageous. In addition you must have great communication skills, empathy and a passion to help service users improve their lives.
