Planning Officer, London, Contract, £15-25

Your new company

You will be working for a devise London Borough who handle a range of major and minor projects. The borough is undertaking a number of commercial and residential projects. The company is in a prime location with excellent transport links and fantastic offices.


Your new role

Will involve a variety of tasks on a day to day basis, including the assessment of all types of planning, consultation, negotiation and written reports. Furthermore, dealing with planning enquires from agents and the public. Alongside dealing with correspondence arising from development control work.


What you'll need to succeed

You will need a understanding of the application of a performance management systems. A knowledge and application of Town and Country planning and associated legislation, and national, regional and local policy including requirements for public consultation. Proven communication skills, with the ability to present to a diverse range of internal and external audiences using a variety of media and approaches. Negotiation skills/proven ability in negotiation in challenging situations. Ideally you will have a degree in in Town Planning or a RTPI equivalent subject, with a proven track record of handling a range of development management applications.
