Public sector organisation based in North London are currently looking to recruit a qualified Tree Inspector.

Your new company
Public sector organisation located in North London are currently looking to recruit a qualified Tree Inspector to join their Environment & Neighbourhoods team.

This team are responsible for surveying public trees within the borough. This specific organisation are responsible for the management of approximately 40,000 trees.

Your new role
As a Tree Inspector you will be responsible for undertaking surveys and inspections of Council's trees ensuring all data collected is accurately recorded on the asset management system, Confirm Arboriculture. You will also be required to prepare, issue and monitor the completion of tree work schedules in accordance with contract documentation and the following legislation; Highways Act 1980, Traffic Management Act 2005, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.

Additional Responsibilities include:
* Respond to customer enquiries, undertaking site meetings and site inspections in order to answer the queries within corporate guidelines.
* Monitor on-site performance of contractors to ensure that they are working to the expected standard and in accordance with the industry best practice.
* Respond to emergency call-outs to assess and organise appropriate action required.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will hold a recognised Arboricultural qualification relevant to duties of post (a minimum of a Level 3 Arboriculture qualification).
You will have a strong understanding of how to use the tree management software's, Confirm Arboriculture and MapInfo Professional. You will be confident in undertaking tree surveys for risk management purposes, recording observations and making work recommendations. A proven background in contract monitoring and liaison, including having taken action to address poor contractor performance is also desirable for this role.
