A well-established multi-disciplinary practice are actively looking for an Architectural Technician to join their growing team in the Thames Valley area. As a practice they provide comprehensive architectural and surveying services. They work within both private and public sectors across London and the South. Their workload has been steadily increasing over the last couple of years and as a result they are growing year by year.

Your new role

As an Architectural Technician you will be working closely with architects and other building professionals, providing architectural design services and solutions on medium - large residential projects. You will be meeting with other professionals and clients at an early stage to agree on the project brief; understand how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues, so that practical questions can be addressed at the outset. You will also be contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures as well as preparing and presenting design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and other design software, as well as traditional drawing methods. Finally, you will be required to manage the work of trainee technologists and contribute to the overall running of the business.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful Architectural Technician will be working within the Residential Sector on medium - large scale projects so it is essential that the candidate has a minimum of 5 years' experience within this sector. You need to be proficient in either AutoCAD, Revit or ArchiCAD.
