Principal Town Planner - Major Projects

Your new company
The council is engaged in a major regeneration scheme including significant transport development that would greatly enhance travel across different parts of London. It is heavily involved in a variety of planning applications including for massive residential developments currently on-going as part of its regeneration programme, which is set to provide numerous career progression opportunities.

Your new role
You will provide planning advice on a full range of planning issues associated with MAJOR PROJECTS within the borough. You will have management responsibilities ensuring planning officers complete their caseload on time. The role will include the full range of development management skills in providing pre-application advice and appraising relevant applications associated with different aspects of the development.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a degree qualified town planner or RICS equivalent with a desire or proven track record of dealing with a varied of caseload of major and standard planning applications. Your knowledge and understanding of the statutory processes involved will be crucial to the development succeeding. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of planning policy and practice and good IT skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
