Quantity Surveyor

Your new company
Established for over 15 years this organisation have grown year on year to become a £35 million pound turnover company, with strategic growth plans to take their turnover to £50 million in the next 2 years. They are leading contractor working on high end refurbishment and fit out projects across London and the South.

Working with some of the more prestigious private and public sector landlords, they uniquely operate their business to offer an extensive range of construction services - most contractors sub out, this allows them to have better control of costs which means more profit on their jobs and are cash rich. Project values range from £50k - £20 million.

The owning directors are looking to move away from the day to day running of the business within the next 5 years, the senior people within the business now and closer to the time will be uniquely placed for the directors to hand the business to. This role will see, with endeavour, this candidate be a part of that senior team.

Your new role
The role of the Quantity Surveyor will be to work with a busy and growing commercial team; the role will be to measure and assess the work undertaken and then submit detailed, accurate and timely applications for payment including final accounts, take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract. Assist with preparation of contractual claims, contribute to the set up and review of the project risk register and financial and contractual needs of a contract are fully met in line with the required standards and time constraints.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within a Quantity Surveying role at a similar level, ideally within a fit out refurbishment, working on projects with contract values of up to but not limited to £10 million. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fast paced environment, where jobs are turned around within quick time frames but to a high quality.
