Your new company are an M&E design, installation & maintenance company who operate in the commercial and industrial industries looking for a mechanical design engineer. The company encourage a friendly and relaxed working atmosphere, with an open plan office and flat structure.

Your new role

Your new role will involve you working as part of the in-house design team, typically to take a "tender stage" M&E scheme through the design and approval process to construction issue status for the site team to the install from. You'll be required to work within the wider design team consisting of Architects, Structural Engineers and Main Contractors. You will occasionally be required to attend design team meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in the role you'll ideally have 5-10 years experience in either a consultancy design background, or ideally have experience in the construction background. You'll need to be able to undertake: heatloss calculations, heatgain calculations, pipework sizing, ductwork sizing, domestic water services calculations, gas distribution design, plant selections, above ground drainage systems, coordination of M&E Services, production of schematic layouts and service layouts. Ability to work with either AutoCAD and Revit would be beneficial but not essential.
