An opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced domestic Gas Engineer to work with a National Facilities Management Consultancy based in the North East. The client's portfolio ranges through some of the Nation's biggest landmarks to high street brands and homes in the wider community.

Your new role
This role is covers both planned and reactive work and therefore you will be visiting multiple premises & businesses daily. As a domestic gas engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Gas and Plumbing and Mechanical service, including fabric tasks of buildings as required under contract.

This role is subject to working as part of an on-call rota 1 in 14 days with a standby bonus paid. Majorly based in the North East however travel work may take you to the SR, DH, DL and TS postcodes.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Gas Safe Engineer registration and relevant qualifications is essential as is a full clean UK driving license as the role involves driving between domestic sites. To succeed in your new role, you will need a drive to provide an excellent service, proven experience in a previous maintenance role and a good knowledge of domestic gas systems. Effective and clear communication skills, both written and verbal are central to providing excellent service.

Experience of maintenance, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power and lighting (where applicable).
Required: ICPN1, ICEA1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CORT1, CCN1 & CEN1
