Building Surveyor role-MRICS-Public Sector-Inside IR35-up to £500 per day-technical role

Your new company
On behalf of our client, a well-established Public Sector Organisation in West London, Hays Property & Surveying are currently seeking a Senior Building Surveyor on an interim contract to step in and support the current team to successfully carry out the workload.
Our client is a well-recognised Institution, with a stimulating and engaging work environment.
They are currently extremely busy and are looking for an experienced building surveyor to step in.

Your new role
On a daily basis, you'll be responsible for inspecting a wide housing stock including high rise buildings, which will need complex repairs.
Examples of what you will be involved in include: legal disrepair cases (also section 11), complex leaks, concrete repairs, subsidence, external defects.
Your role will be to inspect the properties, identify and assess the structural defects and carry out complex repairs.
You will also be asked to prepare detailed and technical reports and oversee the work on the ground.
You will regularly liaise with structural engineers and professionals from other teams.


What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate in this competition, you will be either chartered (MRICS) or in the process of soon becoming chartered, will have a very good knowledge and understanding of buildings structure and defects, and experience preparing technical reports.
Please note this is a technical role, therefore to be considered you will need to have strong experience in a similar role, working on technical projects.
You'll be an independent self-starter, with excellent written and oral communication skills, able to successfully liaise with third parties and work well within a multidisciplinary environment
