BID CO-ORDINATOR – MATERNITY COVER

Start Date:       April 2019 (Fixed Term 12 months)

Guildmore is a privately-owned contractor developer with an extensive track record in securing partnership and joint venture work with a wide range of stakeholders. These include Local Authorities, housing associations, and a variety of private sector partners. The Company celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and prides itself on its healthy business pipeline which, as well as residential development projects, includes listed buildings, a specialist care facility, and a boutique cinema.

Also during 2018, Guildmore restructured its operations to create two subsidiary companies: Guildmore Construction and Guildmore Developments. These subsidiaries have their own autonomous management teams, which in turn report into the Executive Board.

We are a fast-moving, growing business with a highly entrepreneurial ethos.

Owing to the present incumbent departing on maternity leave, an opportunity has arisen for a Bid Co-ordinator. The role reports directly to the Head of New Business, and the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and submission of PQQ’s (Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires), tenders and other proposal documents. This is a demanding and fast-paced role, and will suit an individual who is comfortable managing their own time, and working to tight deadlines. It is highly unlikely that a candidate with less the two years direct experience in this specific area would be endowed with the skill-sets required for this role.

You should have extensive experience dealing with external clients, and representatives of local authorities. You will be a good communicator, and will be familiar with preparing submissions by fixed deadlines. You will have excellent inter-personal skills and will be a committed team player, who is willing to take ownership and responsibility for your own actions.

In return we can offer you an attractive salary between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum, dependent upon experience; as well as a very competitive benefits package including 25 days holiday, a discretionary performance-related annual bonus scheme, life insurance and healthcare cover. Guildmore is an ethnically diverse organisation and we welcome applications from all sectors of the community regardless of ethnic origin, gender or sexual orientation.
