Job Details

My client is a specialist project management and building consultancy service. We act on behalf of private clients who are undertaking alteration or refurbishment schemes on their homes or investment properties.


We specialise in dealing with prime London properties and country homes providing a high quality, discreet and personal service.

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing independant firm working on exclusive Estates and High End Residential Projects.

The suitable candiate will have the minimum requirements listed below;

  • RICS qualified Quantity Surveyor

  • Experience of undertaking contract administration, project management and surveys.

  • Experience of working on high quality refurbishment projects, ideally residential but not essential, including listed and historic buildings.

  • Experience of working with and managing the full project design team including Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Services consultants etc.

  • Building Surveyors - Ability to prepare survey reports, schedules of work / specifications based on architects' drawings and interior designers' schemes.

  • Quantity Surveyors - Ability to undertake pre contract budget estimating, post contract cost reporting, assessing applications for payment/extensions of time, negotiating finances with contractor/consultants.

  • Understanding of JCT forms of contract and contractual and contract administration duties.

  • Experience of administering and managing construction projects from low value up to £15,000,000.

  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and work directly with end-user clients, including determining their brief and instructing contractors accordingly.

  • Ability to manage construction cost and negotiate valuations / final accounts.

  • Ability to control construction projects with regard to programming, contractors and design team's responsibilities and managing the entire process acting as client representative.

  • Keen to work in a niche practice and develop a reputation for excellence. Act as a representative for the company to demonstrate a strong professional attitude with a 'can do' approach to construction projects.
