Hostel Supported Housing Manager needed for an temporary to permanent contract in Bristol

Your new role
As a hostel team leader you will be working on a full time temporary to permanent basis in Bristol. As a hostel team leader you will lead operational delivery enabling provision of a comprehensive housing management and high quality support services, coordinating and supporting the project team to provide a full programme to service users. As a hostel team leader you will lead support workers in providing full comprehensive support plans to service users in order to promote independence. As a hostel manager you will closely liaise with the local authority housing team, managing voids and referrals into the project, to maximise occupancy and throughput within services.You will ensure that tenants are working with their tenancy management plans, making sure they pay rent and are in line with their tenancy agreements. As a hostel manager you will also oversee day-to-day accommodation and communal area standards, to ensure that the project is well maintained, serviced, safe, clean and fit for purpose, which includes the co-ordination of cleaning, repairs and furniture and equipment replacement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful hostel team leader you must have relevant knowledge in running a supported housing project and must have up to date relevant housing management knowledge. To be a successful hostel team leader it is essential you have working knowledge of rent collection, tenancy agreements and tenancy management. It is essential you are able to lead a team of support workers and provide the relevant support and encouragement to your team. Above all you must be looking to make a difference to service users lives, implementing support plans to enable their independence and help them move on.
