They are very well established within the Scottish market and have built up a very strong reputation within the residential, education, retail and commercial sectors meaning they continually gain repeat business from key clients.
With their current growth in workload, they are now looking to add a Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Technician to their busy and vibrant Glasgow office.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for the road and drainage infrastructure design for a variety of projects within the residential, education, retail and commercial sectors. You will liaise with architects, clients and other professionals whilst carrying out duties and participate in both internal and external design review meetings. You will also be involved in the development and mentoring of more junior members of staff depending on your level of experience
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a HNC/HND or other relevant qualification in Civil Engineering and significant experience in the Civils sector. For the road and drainage design aspect of this role, you will need to have good working knowledge of civil packages such as PDS, Microdrainage, Civil 3D or similar. Ideally, you will be fully conversant with all aspects of residential roads and drainage and have experience in working with SUDS. Due to the nature of the role, it is important you have good communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to work effectively within your team and liaise with clients
