M&E Project Manager for a client side organisation managing a range of interesting M&E projects
Your new company
You will be working for a client side organisation who have 8 sites in Warwickshire which cover a range of sectors including domestic, commercial, industrial & retail. The organisation is steeped in history and have a mixed estate of interesting buildings. There is a varied programme of interesting M&E related projects that will be delivered over the duration of the position.
Your new role
You will be working with the estates and facilities team and be responsible for a range of projects including mechanical, electrical and fabric. The values will range between 5,000 - 5M and may including emergency lighting programmes, boiler refurbishments, complete new builds and extensions to existing buildings, outdoor lighting upgrades. You will be responsible for putting together technical specifications for new projects, tendering the contracts, awarding contracts, overseeing the planning and design phase, then overseeing projects at construction phase - ensuring the specifications are met, work quality and timescales are met. You don't have any direct reports , so it is mainly managing M&E contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a background in building services engineering. Either mechanical or electrical. Ideally degree or HND/HNC. You will have strong contractor management skills, good technical competence in both M&E disciplines. Strong interpersonal skills will enable you to liaise with multiple stakeholders across the estate and help to keep stakeholders engaged in the construction process.
